Out of the Box Advertising (Using a Box)

Haha, I know pretty confusing title.  Take a look at this advertising campaign ADT has come up with.

In my opinion, this is absolutely fantastic.  They are pretending to break into houses and place packages the other side of the door to enforce the idea that home security is needed.  I’m not condoning breaking into peoples houses or doing things to make people believe they need your product/services.  As you can see from the video they are not actually breaking into the houses but using a spring loaded box which they slide under the door to create the illusion that somebody has in fact broken in.

Its more the idea that interests me.  They are thinking outside of the box to sell their product.  They are also using social media to promote the campaign.  Social media when used in the correct way can be an invaluable marketing tool.  When I come across more of these great advertising methods, I’m going to post them up.  They really are a good source of inspiration!
