Adverts That Made You Think (Or Jump)

After Tom drew my attention to the new ADT campaign, I started thinking about other advertising campaigns that have made a big impact on marketing and the world in general. Here are two that have had massive (and not always positive) impacts:

Ok, so they were pretty harsh on the animals involved (which weren’t real, obviously), and they caused a significant outcry at the time, but all the same, they had a fantastic impact. These adverts were a good mix of unexpected twists and humour. Sometimes, I think, you have to do something outrageous and risky to make an impact. It’s a gamble, but in the case of these examples, it paid off. The amount publicity Ford got for these adverts was incredible. Every now and then, a mad idea is completely worth trying after all!
